Benjamin Soemartopo is the Chief Executive Officer of Eureka. Previously, he was the Managing Director of Standard Chartered’s Principal Finance and Private Equity practice in Indonesia, which invests in companies, infrastructure and real estate, and provides development capital for growth, acquisitions and joint ventures, and helps to professionalize family businesses and prepare them to become public companies. He serves on the Board of Trikomsel Tbk, Indonesia’s leading mobile phone retailer, and is an adviser to Navigat, an Indonesian IPP power company.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Benjamin spent 12 years with McKinsey & Company and was the Managing Partner for Indonesia. There he led programs transforming Indonesian state-owned enterprises into world-class organizations, helping family-owned businesses to professionalize, developing Indonesia’s national climate change strategy, and implementing educational reform and improving the impact of companies’ CSR programs. He was a leader of McKinsey’s support to the Aceh Reconstruction Agency to help rebuild Aceh. Benjamin was the initiator and the founder of the Young Leaders for Indonesia program. He was selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2010.
Ben graduated with a first-class honors degree in law and political economy from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia, and has completed PhD work on technology transfer between Australian and Indonesia.
Dharma Djojonegoro is currently the Deputy CEO of Adaro Power, a subsidiary of PT Adaro Energy Tbk, a leading Indonesian coal mining company and Indonesia’s second largest producer of thermal coal. Prior to Adaro, Dharma was part of McKinsey & Company where he led multiple business improvement and transformation programs for various natural resource companies globally, and he was also a Director at PT Ancora Indonesia Resources Tbk.
Dharma holds a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD and a Bachelor’s degree in both Finance and Marketing (summa cum laude) from the University of Oregon, USA.
Hans is the Chief Operational Officer of Asia Pulp and Paper. He previously served as a Partner in McKinsey’s Jakarta office. He is also a leader in the Basic Materials and Operations Practices, where his responsibilities include recruitment and people development. He has led multiple large-scale transformations in Indonesia, and focuses on the industrial sector. Prior to joining McKinsey, Hans worked in a variety of operations and general management positions for 10 years in the automotive industry across the United States, China, and Southeast Asia.
Jesslyne Widjaja joined Golden Agri Resources, Sinarmas Group in 2011 as Executive Director focusing on Corporate Finance and Strategic Business Development. She has previous experience in the fields of corporate finance and business consulting with a leading financial institution and consulting firm in the USA.
She obtained her MBA degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania with a Finance concentration, where she graduated as a Palmer’s Scholar. Jesslyne graduated from University of California Los Angeles, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
John Riady is an Indonesian lawyer, professor, and businessman. Currently Executive Director of the Lippo Group; Co-Founder of MatahariMall.com, Indonesia’s leading B2C eCommerce marketplace; Partner at Venturra Capital, a Lippo-backed VC Fund; Professor of Law at Pelita Harapan University; and Editor at Large of The Jakarta Globe.
He is a member of the NY Bar Association and was appointed to serve on the Columbia University International Advisory Board and the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Council on Southeast Asia.
John earned his bachelor majoring in Political Philosophy and Economics from Georgetown University. He received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a Juris Doctor (JD) from Columbia University.
Khoon Tee Tan currently serves as Partner at McKinsey & Company Indonesia. Khoon Tee leads McKinsey’s refining and petrochemicals work in Asia, and McKinsey Implementation in Southeast Asia. Over the past decade, he has served several leading downstream petroleum companies throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States on topics of strategy, organization, and operations transformation. Prior to joining McKinsey, Khoon Tee was a Shell Malaysian Scholar. Khoon Tee is also the Leader of GE-McKinsey Leadership Workshop in Malaysia.
Khoon Tee holds M.Eng (with distinction) and M.A. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Sandiaga Uno is a co-founder and partner of Saratoga Investama Sedaya, an investment firm focusing on natural resources, infrastructure, and consumer products and services in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. He is also the co-founder of PT Recapital Advisors and the Indonesian Social Entrepreneur Association.
He led the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives division of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), and from 2005-2008 was Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association. In 2008, Sandiaga was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Enterprise Asia.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude, from Wichita State University.
